Autistic: Leaping Over Walls While Living with Autism is now available on Amazon.
This groundbreaking book lifts the lid on the denial or non-acceptance of the existence of autism within ethnic minority communities.
This is not just a story of trials but breakthrough and hope. It is authentic, funny and gives an insight into a mother’s difficult journey of raising her autistic son nearly 25 and the challenge of not losing sight of the impact on his brother now 20.
It offers verifiable information and effective tools to all those dealing with autism.

“The book lifts the lid on the denial or non-acceptance of the existence of autism within ethnic minority communities”
As a proud mother of two sons, including Joshua, now a 26-year-old autistic adult diagnosed at age five, I am a passionate advocate for autism awareness. My bestselling book, Autistic: Leaping Over Walls While Living with Autism (2023), addresses the stigma of autism, particularly in ethnic minority communities, while offering practical strategies for families and caregivers. Building on this, I launched an Autism Awareness Course in October 2023, providing tools to debunk myths and promote understanding. Joshua’s success in art and music has inspired me to champion special needs education and community support. My advocacy extends to inclusivity in entrepreneurship, where my unisex hair care brand features individuals with autism, including Joshua, in commercials and campaigns.
While homeschooling both my children—Joshua, who is on the autistic spectrum, and my non-autistic son Christian during his A-Levels, I faced the challenges of navigating peri-menopause, which led to significant hair loss. Determined to find a solution, I embarked on two years of research into hair care and regrowth. This journey inspired me to launch my hair care brand, El’Rog, in March 2023. The first product, Opal, is a unisex hair growth serum formulated to support healthier, stronger hair. In May 2023, I expanded the range with Citrine Beard Oil, designed to promote beard growth and nourishment. Both products are proudly UK cosmetic-certified, reflecting a commitment to quality and safety.
